For the second successive weekend, German-based car preparations company South Racing is planning to run cars and drivers in two different motor sporting events in very different corners of the world.
South Racing will now run the talented Portuguese driver Ricardo Porém in Baja de Loulé, the opening rally of the six-round Portuguese National Championship of Cross-Country Rallies (CNTT), while also putting the finishing touches to two cars for next week’s Qatar Cross-Country Rally in the Middle East.
Porém – a three-time winner of Portugal’s Baja Portalegre – won the national title in 2014 and is excited about the new opportunity to join South Racing to run a Ford Ranger alongside his experienced navigator Hugo Magalhães, the winning co-driver in this year’s Qatar International Rally.
