Primosten – At the end of 2017 we talk about many many news about the 6th edition of Croatia Rally, from 19 to 26 may, organized from TRX The Raid Experience, and now we are ready to discover them, just after the first reconnaissance that Marco Borsi made with his staff at the end of november, before the arrival of cold weather and snow on the Dalmatian Coast.
News about the track, that will be more or less 1300 longer, and that also this year it will be share in 4 days of race with the rest day, Wednesday, as usual.
Reserved to motorbikes, quads and UTV, The Croatia Rally will open Sunday afternoon with the traditional Super Special Stage, the prologue, but it will be Monday the first real day of race with the first stage drew in the region of Drnis e Knin.
The real surprises will start Tuesday with the second stage totally new – never seen before – that will develop for the 90 % in Bosnia, with the start and the finish line in the town of Sinj with a free liason from Primosten, in the morning.
Just after the traditional rest day the third stage will bring the caravan of the rally in the Gracac region but it’s for the last day, the fourth stage, that Marco Borsi has prepared something of fantastic and never seen before.
The last stage infact, will see for the first time the participant of Croatia Rally on the Brac Island with another unprecedented road book and track, with a transfer by ferry starting from Split and 45 minutes of sea crossing, all togheter with the bikes, exactly like in Dakar in Africa, when during the race all the riders and drivers used the Bac, a big raft powered by engine bringing all the caravan of the race from one side to the other of Senegal river.
When the riders will arrive in Brac they’ll start from the town of Supetar and will face the last two special stages of the sixth edition of the rally.
The 2018 track has already prepared but in the next month of march it will start the recos to check everything and write and draw the road book.
Another big news is about the result and the standings: in 2018 the TRX will present a new system called TRXRAID Ranking System, a new service online that it will give to the participants the possibility to read the standings directly on their own smartphones. Also this year after the success of 2017 the race will use the GPS tracking : the Krka Trakking system by RDS will allow to follow just in time the race checking the movement and the positions of the riders on the race.
The entry fees are not changed for this 2018 : at the moment who want to go at the Croatia Rally have to pay 1050€ before and not over April, 14 and the amount is inclusive of the hotel – for seven night in double room – local taxes, registrations and kit.
