René Münnich made an instant impact on his FIA European Touring Car Cup debut by qualifying on pole position for the season-opening ETCC Race of Paul Ricard with a last-ditch effort in his Honda Civic.
Driving for his ALL-INKL.COM Münnich Motorsport team, the German is splitting his time between his one-off ETCC appearance and his participation in rounds one and two of the FIA World Touring Car Championship, which is headlining Circuit Paul Ricard.
He went to the top of the Super 2000 times on his last lap, setting a qualifying best of 1m36.066s to beat SEAT driver and ETCC title contender Petr Ful
