– Nani Roma took the Borgward BX7 EVO to the end in a very demanding race.
Borgward Rally Team driver Nani Roma (301) finished another Dakar Rally. The Spanish driver was able to overcome difficult situations such as tyre punctures and navigation problems during the race and finished the final stage on the 12º place (27th overall).
Nani Roma did not expect the race to be this difficult. Roma was very happy about the support he received from the Borgward Rally Team during the race, even in the most difficult times. The lead driver thinks he and the team have learned a lot from this Dakar and considers that it will lead to better results in the future.
Nani said after the podium: « We just drove over the podium, we finished the 2020 Dakar in Saudi! I am really proud of the Borgward Rally Team and the work they did! Big, big thanks to the team members, they did a great job and no one can have any regrets. They kept pushing all the time. We have learned a lot this race. I’m happy we made it to the end of the 2020 Dakar! »
Nani Roma was also happy that the speed of the Borgward BX7 EVO was really good throughout the twelve stages of the Dakar 2020. The Spanish driver believes that the final classification result does not reflect the real capabilities of the car and looks forward to a brighter future.
Nani Roma added: « It was not the Dakar we expected and the ranking position does not show the real potential of the Borgward BX7 EVO. This is a very strong car that finished an almost 8 thousand kilometers of a very demanding race. We now have to rest and start looking forward towards the future. »
