– Nani Roma managed to finish Stage 10 with his Borgward BX7 EVO.
Borgward Rally Team driver Nani Roma finished the shortened Stage 10. Dakar organization decided to interrupt the stage after 345 kilometers due to heavy winds. After the cancellation the drivers had to continue on the road to the bivouac.
Nani Roma was concerned about how the weather would affect the outcome of the stage. Because of the heavy wind, the stage was very sandy and dusty. So it was not what he expected to see at the beginning of the day.
Nani Roma said after the stage ended: « We are lucky this stage was cancelled because the last part at night would have been difficult to drive. The beginning of the stage was hard. There was a lot of wind and dust and it was very sandy. With lots of bumps and dunes, it was not easy. »
