– Nani Roma finished on the 10th place of Stage 8 of Dakar.
Borgward Rally Team lead driver Nani Roma (301) finished the 477-kilometre stage on the eighth day of the Dakar Rally. The driver finished with his Borgward BX7 EVO on the 10th position.
Nani Roma had a strong finish after a cautious start of the stage. The two-time champion lost some time after he had some navigation problems. However, as the stage came to an end, he managed to get into the Top 10.
After the stage Nani Roma said: « Today was better again. This morning I didn’t feel comfortable in the car and drove far from perfect. However, during the day I was able to focus more and drive better. So in the end it was not bad and we are happy to be in the Top 10. At around kilometer 400 we missed a waypoint but we didn’t lose too much time finding it. »
Besides the Borgward BX7 EVO which enabled Nani Roma to drive into the Top 10, the Spanish driver also praised the work of the Borgward Rally Team mechanics who made some good changes to the car during the Dakar.
About the Borgward BX7 EVO Nani Said: « We are still happy with the suspension changes we made two days ago. Borgward Rally Team worked really well and I feel the car much better every time. Today the Borgward BX7 EVO worked very well and we had no issues. »
Unluckily for the Borgward Rally Team Ricardo Porém is out of the race. The Portuguese driver was able to reach the bivouac yesterday but he was not allowed to restart this morning.
