The Dakar Rally is the biggest challenge in the motoring universe, to get to the finish line you need the best team in your corner. Luckily for Red Bull Desert Wings they have excellence in every department thanks to the backing of illustrious partners during their 5,000km quest through Peru.
The beating heart of the Desert Wings operation will be three Ford Raptor trucks supplied by Ford Performance. The two Super Crew Raptors and the Super Cab Raptor have the power and size needed to keep Red Bull TV’s Dakar Daily show up and running. Ford Performance are on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
It’s now long established that the first place to find action photography from each stage of the Dakar is the Red Bull Content Pool. The photographers working with Red Bull Desert Wings benefit from a bespoke multimedia lab fitted with an Inmarsat mobile satellite delivery hub. With so much of the race taking place in the Peruvian wilderness, the level of connectivity supplied by Inmarsat and Network Innovations is simply invaluable.
Kärcher cleaning centers have been a fixture in the Dakar bivouac at the last seven editions of the rally. The cleaning specialist is back in the thick of the action in 2019, ready to blast off the muck after each day’s gruelling competition. We’re also being supported by Ipone – the combat oil Made in France – to ensure all vehicles are maintained and serviced throughout the Dakar.
Hosting the Daily Dakar each day during the rally from January 6 onwards will be Mike Chen and Caroline De Moraes. Taking on an entire Dakar in the dunes of Peru requires the right clothing.
