Johan Kristoffersson (S) claimed his third win of the season for PSRX Volkswagen Team Sweden at round seven of the FIA World Rallycross in Höljes (S). In front of more than 45,000 passionate fans, the Swede in the Polo GTI Supercar dominated proceedings, seemingly at will. Kristoffersson had already triumphed in qualifying and the semi-final, and victory never looked in danger in the final. The impressive home win also means that the 28-year-old has extended his lead in the world championship.

Now with 181 points to his name, he leads team-mate Petter Solberg (N/150), who failed to qualify for the final in Sweden, by 31 points. PSRX Volkswagen continues to lead the Team competition with 331 points, followed by the Peugeot Hansen team (246).

Johan Kristoffersson said: “Saturday was a very good day. We were out in front at the end of the day, but I was fully focussed on the final day. After all, that is what it is all about. As always, the car was perfect. I have to thank everyone in the team. Not only those here on site, but everyone who works so hard for us at Volkswagen Motorsport.”

FIA European Rallycross Championship: Marklund wins in Höljes, second place for Hedström
Anton Marklund (S) has added another win to his tally in the FIA European Rallycross Championship. The Swede won at the wheel of a Volkswagen Polo in front of his home crowd in Höljes. He took the chequered flag in the final ahead of fellow Volkswagen driver and compatriot Peter Hedström (S). Third place went to René Münnich (D). In total, three Volkswagen Polos made it into the ERX final in Höljes. Marklund and Hedström were joined in the final showdown by Alexander Hvaal (N).
