Dakar Team Galag finishes its first Dakar Rally ever!

Stage 12: 164km to end the Dakar
While the dunes were behind us, the majority of tracks in this closing stage were still sandy. Practice made perfect and, with all the experience gained since the start of the rally, everyone was poised to enjoy this one to the fullest. However, long liaisons awaited the field on its way to the Red Sea coast and the final podium on the Jeddah corniche.

After a stage that was very different from all the other, narrow and twisty with many navigation traps, the Team Galag buggy driven by Jerome De Sadeleer and navigated by Mika Metge, arrived in Jeddah where the final finishers podium was dressed up at the Formula 1 circuit!

As you could have followed during the last 2 weeks, that rally was full of emotions and once again you showed a good pace in the last stage to finish 7th of the day and confirm our 25th in the T4 class.

All the team members want to congratulate the winners of each categories and every single competitors who finished this tremendous rally, we had an awesome experience all together and we will come back next year and race against the top contenders. But for now it is time to celebrate our first Dakar finish, medals around the neck, and find some rest after two exhausting weeks of intense racing and bivouac life.

Thank you everyone for the support and see you really soon, no doubt!
