Primosten – The bad weather affected Croatia in recent days and that is why the finalcontrol of the road book for the Croatia Rally 2019 started only this morning. But Marco Borsi, the boss of TRX, is not at all worried: « Script writing is already finished – confirms the rider today organizer of several events of enduro and rally – and the road books have been prepared in semi-definitive version.
Today morning we started to check the notes, one by one and confirm, as we did from several years, a road book to ‘zero changes’. We started this morning to check the road and the path and we decided to start with 2 different teams.
From Primosten the two teams shared the tasks: the first went to check the road book of the first stage drawn in the Drniš area, north of Primosten, about 220 km long, while the second group went to Bosnia to double-check stage 2, the longest of this year’s Croatia Rally with its 440 kilometres. « Today – said Borsi – we decided to test the Trakker system, too: we can say that we simulated a real race to test the speed of reaction of our organization and we are satisfied with the result. » Tomorrow again the check for the third and fourth stages that will measure respectively 350 and 200 kilometres. “Also in this seventh edition the route will count a total of about 1200 kilometres for Experts while amateurs will be able to face a reduced path of about 30 percent, less challenging even in special tests. »
