Under a cloudy, grey sky and windy, cold weather, 18 Formula-E drivers took to the 1.920 meter track surrounding Invalides for 45 laps in the Paris E-Prix. More than 10,000 spectators watched the exciting electric race in the streets of Paris. This is the first one in 70 years in France’s capital city.

The Venturi team landed in opposite positions during mid-day qualifying. Stephane got a seat in position 4 on the grid in the superpole while Mike Conway was close to the same but was involved in an accident provoked by Nick Heidfeld, and started in P17.

« I had a really bad start and lost a position. I had a lot of troubles with car one, the one I had an accident with during free practice. I was not on a good pace. With the second car I was quick, very quick but it was too late. The guys in front were too far. But I am happy, I still scored points finishing in P5. » said Stephane.

Stéphane is 5th in the driver’s rankings with 58 points, scoring each race since the start of the season. He is the first French driver and wants with the team to target P3.

For Mike, the race seemed to be finished in the morning during qualifying. « We could have done a bit more but it’s hard to start from the end of the grid because you have to manage energy and I was stuck in the traffic. It wasn’t so good. But as it has been said, a lot of my chances were lost during qualifying. That’s the race. »
