News from the paddock of the Nürburgring 24-hour race

Red Bull Team ABT will start the race from second row
Kelvin van der Linde, Jordan Pepper and Marco Mapelli will start the 24-hour race from position four. After the team had already qualified for the top qualifying session on Friday evening, van der Linde put the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 on the second row of the grid with a strong lap during the top qualifying. As last year, Marco Mapelli will drive the start (Saturday, 1 June, 16.00 CEST).

ABT Motorsport Director Martin Tomczyk: « Fans can expect an exciting race »
« Congratulations to Kelvin for a strong lap in the decisive qualifying session, which gives us an optimal starting position for the race, » says ABT Motorsport Director Martin Tomczyk. « But at least as important is the fact that we have had an absolutely calm race week so far with smooth sessions. Our debriefings have only taken a few minutes each, which is a sure sign that all three drivers feel comfortable in the car and have found a set-up that everyone is happy with. In the final qualifying session, we once again saw how tough the competition is this year, so the fans can definitely look forward to an exciting 24-hour race. »

All pictures and the interview during the high-speed flight can be seen during the broadcast this weekend.
