– Przygonski finishes stage in sixth place
– Finish podium in Dammam tomorrow
Only a little more than 400 kilometres separate the competitors from the finish in Dammam. Today’s twelfth stage sent the crews into the dunes for the last time before they drove over a liaison of about 500 kilometres to Al-Hofuf. Jakub ‘Kuba’ Przygonski and Armand Monleon finished sixth in the MINI JCW Rally Plus. Sebastian Halpern and Bernardo ‘Ronnie’ Graue finished the stage in twelfth place in the MINI JCW Rally Plus. They were able to make up one position in the overall standings and are now in tenth place.
Kuba Przygonski: « Dunes, dunes, dunes – that was today’s stage. Pretty exhausting, but it was fun. It was also a tough stage for the car. Tomorrow we have the last stage. We will go full throttle because we have nothing to lose. »
Sebastian Halpern: « A difficult stage today. Many dunes and difficult navigation. But we achieved one goal: we are in tenth place overall. »
The last 136 kilometres will bring no more surprises on tomorrow’s 14th and final stage. The route leads the participants along the Persian Gulf to the finish city of Dammam.
