Buggyra ZM Racing is ready for the Poland Baja, the fourth round of the FIA European Baja Cup, in Szczecin and Drawsko Pomorskie, running from August 28-30. The team will once again field two cars in the T1+ class of the Ultimate category. Aliyyah Koloc will race alongside Polish co-driver Marcin Pasek in a Red-Lined Revo GTR, and Buggyra CEO Martin Koloc will make his return to the cockpit after an extended absence, partnered by Italian co-driver Mirko Brun in a Red-Lined Revo T1+, the non-turbo version of the car.
Aliyyah Koloc: back in the seat, on new terrain
Poland marks a new venue for Buggyra ZM Racing, and the weekend’s focus is on learning the terrain and returning to race rhythm after a stop-start summer. Aliyyah Koloc has not driven competitively since the Italian Baja in June, where a technical issue cost her a strong result. The following two rounds, in Spain in July and Hungary earlier this month, were both canceled by organizers due to acute fire hazards.
Co-driver Marcin Pasek’s local knowledge should help the crew settle in quickly. As a Polish national, he knows the terrain well and has been briefing Aliyyah ahead of the event, while she has focused her preparation on physical conditioning and simulator work. « Preparations have been the same as always. It’s been a while since I last raced, so staying in good physical shape and driving a lot on the simulator have been important, » Aliyyah said. « I’ve never raced in Poland, so I am not sure what to expect, but it will be my navigator’s home race, and he has been telling me about the race. As for results, we will be aiming to finally achieve a good result. »
Martin Koloc: mileage over results
Buggyra CEO and team principal Martin Koloc will also return to competitive driving after last racing in the 2026 Dakar Rally in January, while the team’s second driver on the European Baja, Adam Lacko, will compete in the FIA European Truck Racing Championship at Most the same weekend, his main championship. For Martin Koloc, though, the priority is car development rather than results. « This event will help us to finally get some much-needed mileage, which we need for the car development, as the two preceding events couldn’t take place due to ongoing fire hazards, » Koloc said.
