The female racing stars of tomorrow prepare for May’s FW Nations Cup finale in Dubai

The Dubai Autodrome circuit will host the FW Nations Cup final on May 1st – 4th after rigorous testing and qualifying, to bring 37 drivers from across the globe to battle it out to see who will be crowned champion of 2025.

After three closely fought qualifying sessions in December last year, the qualifying for the FW Nations Cup is in the past and we have the main event to look forward to this coming May and tickets are now on sale for this motorsport extravaganza.

It was a unique day for motorsport during qualifying as we witnessed race action in the form of a time trial set-up at for some of the best female racing drivers from across the globe, all in identical Radical racing cars.

FW’s Founder and CEO Graeme Glew said, « We had some excellent overall performances throughout the adrenalin sapping qualification sessions, and the highly anticipated Formula Woman Global Nations Cup in a few months’ time is going to be an exciting showcase for motorsport. All the drivers who have qualified are in for a chance of victory, but obviously Austrian winner of December’s qualifying Jorden Dolischka will be one of the favourites after setting the fastest recorded lap of 1:04.105. »

English drivers Steph Sore and Kirsty Mansell who finished second and third respectively will also be fancied to do well and UAE drivers, Manon Robillard, Sofia Necchi and Darcy Mead, who were all placed near the top of the qualifying times.

The drivers competing for the FW Nations Cup title come from almost 30 countries, which is a hugely impressive global cross section. This is down to the Formula Woman organisation and their extraordinary success of sourcing drivers who would, most likely, have never had the opportunity for competing at such a high level.

Graeme Glew added, « There is so much talent within Formula Woman, and we are extremely proud of our drivers and events in Dubai. However, nothing stands still, and we are already beginning to focus on new venues for Formula Woman later in the year and in 2026 in Mexico, Brazil, Las Vegas and have interest from both India and Saudi Arabia too, so it’s exciting times for all of us involved and we are getting new commercial partners joining us too. »

Newly appointed Formula Woman COO, Caroline Barrett commented, « Dubai is an inspiring and exciting location for motorsport, and Formula Woman is committed to continuing to grow the Formula Woman brand on a global level and in recent weeks we have set up a new International FW office using the impressive facilities available to us in Dubai. »

Formula Woman will be using Radical SR3 racing cars once again for the finale. These pretty but purposeful bespoke race cars run on full racing slick tyres with their 1500cc engines, which will propel the cars from a standing start to 60 MPH in around four seconds with a top speed of more than 160 MPH.

The Radical company is the second largest constructor of purpose-built race cars in the world! They have both national and world championships and any one of the competing women who can fully get to grips with a Radical could, like many Radical graduates, end up competing at the highest levels of motorsport, such as the European and World Endurance Championships and the legendary Le Mans 24 Hours.

A film company based in USA is creating a film of Formula Woman and it concentrates on the road to the Nations Cup and the finale itself. Several internationally based TV companies have already shown an interest in the film and that will further promote Formula Woman to an event greater field across the world.

The Dubai Autodrome race circuit has the facility of 7500 grandstand seats and FW are already able to facilitate up to 6000 spectators for the Nations Cup finale.
