XXIXth edition of Baja Spain opened its registration period last 18th April and at this moment, with the reduced fee period closed, the total number of vehicles registered does bode an important participation this year.

Most important international drivers will gather in Zaragoza for some days and, amongst them, it is fair to remark the  trucks category, that could reach the historic record of number of vehicles participating in the race since their specialty was included in the event in 2005.

For the moment, Epsilon team will land in Zaragoza with eleven of their machines; a number that could be increased by three more participants; who will also be joined by the trucks coming from other different teams. Therefore, Baja Spain can count on the presence of drivers such as David Oliveras, Jo Adua, Manuel Borrero or Argentinian Walter D´Agostini and Andrés Germano.

In cars, Erik Van Loon, third last year, will perform again on Baja Spain, together with Italian Maurizio Traglio; Khalifa Al Mutaiwei (on a Mini All4 Racing), and drivers such as Andreas Schulz; and Ukrainian Vadym Nesterchuk.

It is also expected the registration of some of the most important drivers of the moment; experts in Dakar rallye and former Baja Spain winners; but we cannot confirm anything exact for the moment.

In motorbikes category, the category FIM Bajas World Cup we recently reached seems to have given incentives to the motorbike drivers to come, because they are a lot who have confirmed their participation.

Gerard Farrès, current Baja Spain champion (and also three times winner of the competition) will be again racing along the Monegros desert; while Alex Zanotti, “Il leone del Deserto”, or Spanish Jordi Viladoms will also be in Aragon.

In quads, three times champion Óscar Romero will repeat the experience, as well as Aragonese Mario Gajón or French Maxime and Vincent Albira.
