Al-Attiyah digs deep to hold off Peterhansel at Kazakhstan

A dramatic battle between two multiple Dakar champions lit up the final stages of the 2019 Rally Kazakhstan. A late charge from 13-time Dakar winner Stéphane Peterhansel (FRA) nearly wrestled victory away from reigning Dakar champion Nasser Al-Attiyah (QAT). In a pulsating end to the rally, Al-Attiyah held on to win by just five minutes after 18 hours of racing against the clock in Kazakhstan.

Andy McMillin blasts his way into record books with Baja 500 win

Andy McMillin is celebrating his second big race victory of the year after winning the 51st edition of the SCORE Baja 500. McMillin started first on the grid due to his San Felipe 250 victory earlier in the year and he steered his Chevy Trophy Truck to another win in Mexico. The third Baja 500 triumph of McMillin's excellent offroad career further underlines his legendary status in the sport.

At the Rally Kazakhstan, the third and penultimate round in the FIA World Cup for Cross-Country Rallies, two cars built by X-raid made it onto the podium. Stéphane (FRA) and Andrea Peterhansel (GER) secured second place in the MINI John Cooper Works Buggy, behind Nasser Al-Attiyah. Jakub 'Kuba' Przygonski (POL) and Timo Gottschalk (GER) finished in third place in the MINI John Cooper Works Rally.

Kazakhstan Overdrive: Al-Attiyah takes outricht World Cup lead

Overdrive Racing's Nasser Saleh Al-Attiyah was made to work mightily hard for a second victory in Rally Kazakhstan and the outright lead in the 2019 FIA World Cup for Cross-Country Rallies.

The Qatari and his French co-driver Matthieu Baumel looked to be in control before the fifth demanding selective section through some of the remotest terrain in eastern Kazakhstan.
