Zolder froze Speedhouse’s ambitions, but the team is already planning a stronger comeback next season

Zolder welcomed the EuroNASCAR circus with a brisk vibe. There were plenty of points up for grabs that could have kept SpeedHouse in the game, but things didn’t quite go as planned. There were some highlights, but also a few regrets. However, there’s no time to dwell on it; the new season kicks off on October 29 with the SpeedHouse Winter Camp, followed by an intense winter preparation phase. We’re gearing up to come back stronger than ever, packed with exciting new developments. Stay tuned!

EuroNASCAR PRO
Zolder has always been a friendly track for SpeedHouse! Back in 2021, Lucas Lasserre snagged the Fastest Driver Award with two podiums; in 2022, Marc Goossens delivered some top-notch performances; and in 2023, Lucas Lasserre took home the victory in Race 1. This time, though, Ulysse Delsaux had to play catch-up, pulling off two impressive comebacks after a tough qualifying session. As for Lucas Lasserre in the #33 car, let’s just say both of his races came to an early end right at the first corner of the Belgian track.

In all this, Ulysse Delsaux places the #14 car in 7th position in the championship, just 3 points behind Lucas Lasserre, who finishes 6th in a season where he consistently shined. This shows that all the cars from the French team are equally well-prepared, proving their competitiveness across the board.

Lucas Lasserre : « It wasn’t the weekend I expected, especially since Zolder has always been my playground. Both races saw me bow out at the first corner. In race 1, I finished in 15th place after a contact in turn 1, far from the crucial points. In race 2, I had to leave the car outside turn 1 after a rough hit from another competitor. Sure, finishing sixth doesn’t reflect the talent I’ve shown throughout the season, but that’s motorsport! »
Positions – R : P15 – R2 : DNF – Overall : 6th – Points 455

Ulysse Delsaux :  » My weekend started off on a high note with a solid performance in free practice and good prospects for qualifying, where I unfortunately couldn’t complete a valid lap due to an electrical issue that was promptly resolved. In race 1, I finished in 12th place, recovering 10 positions, while in race 2, I crossed the line in 6th place, also gaining 10 spots from the starting grid. I ended the season in 7th place in the championship, and the overall assessment of the season is positive. I can’t wait to kick off the next season, where I know I can still improve. Zolder was also a great opportunity to welcome my many partners and thank them for their support that allows me to showcase my talent!  »

EuroNASCAR 2
For Florian Richard and Arianna Casoli, Zolder was a battleground for two confirmations: Florian aimed to secure the top spot in the Rookie Trophy, while Arianna set her sights on the Lady Trophy. Both experienced a high-stakes weekend. Florian traded the lead multiple times throughout the season with his rival but ultimately settled for 2nd place. Still, it’s a position that showcases his upward trajectory in a season filled with growth, especially considering he comes from dirt track racing. As for Arianna, she clinched the fifth EuroNASCAR Lady Trophy title in race 1, and with a clear mind in race 2, she took an important step in achieving impressive lap times.

Florian Richard : « I’m Vice Champion Europe Rookie EuroNASCAR 2 !
« We fought for the title but ended up securing the second place. It was a mixed weekend for us, but we managed to achieve the vice-champion title thanks to our consistency throughout the season. We will come back stronger next year. I want to thank everyone who has supported me, as well as my family, my sponsors, and my partners who made the trip this weekend and throughout the season at the grand prix. Thanks to the entire SpeedHouse team and the mechanics, who did an extraordinary job all season long and during this final race. See you next year! »

Positions : R1 P15 – R2 P18 – Overall 11th/2nd rookie – Points 394

Arianna Casoli : « I am obviously very happy and proud of my 5th Lady Trophy title in EuroNASCAR. But I am equally pleased to have finally resolved an issue I’ve always had with Zolder, where in race 2 I finally found a way to achieve satisfactory lap times—my best ever on this track. However, I also know where I can still improve. Now I’m focusing on the next season: I hope to soon confirm my participation, always with SpeedHouse. I just need to secure some support to finalize the necessary budget.
« I’ve already done it personally, but I would like to thank everyone who supported me throughout this past season and the entire SpeedHouse staff! »
Positions : R1 P22 – R2 P24 – Overall 19th – Lady Trophy : 1st, 283 points

Club Challenge
Club Challenge has always been a hotbed for nurturing new talents like Florian Richard, who is now the runner-up in the EuroNASCAR 2 Rookie Trophy. It’s also the perfect place for anyone looking to push their limits behind the wheel of cars with over 400 horsepower in a competitive environment. The new season will bring some exciting changes to the format, allowing even more opportunities to test your skills and attract a larger number of participants, especially among the youth.

As for today, Zolder saw Andreas Kuchelbacher secure his third place in the championship, while Dani Briz snagged another podium finish in Belgium.

Andreas Kuchelbacher : « I’m thrilled to have secured my third place in the championship with the SpeedHouse Ford Mustang #14, and I’m equally excited to announce my renewal for 2025, continuing in the Club Challenge. The atmosphere here is great—serious and committed work paired with a relaxed vibe. I can’t wait for the next season; I’m looking forward to hitting the track in Valencia! »

Dani Briz : « I’m happy for another podium here in the Club Challenge at Zolder, an old-school, very technical track. Now I’m already focused on next year because I want to continue with SpeedHouse and move up to EuroNASCAR 2. I really hope to announce it soon. I have many fans in Spain for the first round in Valencia, and I can’t wait to welcome them in the paddock! »

Lucas Lasserre, Team Owner : « The season has wrapped up, and we’re already gearing up for the next one! On October 29th, we’ll kick off our traditional SpeedHouse Winter Camp, featuring a mix of new drivers and familiar faces. After that, we’ll dive into preparations for the upcoming season, which will include the addition of a track engineer with a wealth of winning experience in EuroNASCAR, along with other exciting updates.
« It’s time for some thank-yous: to all the drivers who put their trust in us, to our supportive sponsors, and to the entire SpeedHouse team! Last but definitely not least, big congrats to Vittorio Ghirelli and Martin Doubeck, respectively the champions of EuroNASCAR PRO and EuroNASCAR 2 for 2024 ! »
